An Insiders Guide to The Isle of Wight

With the current heatwave that has just happened and school holidays beginning my thoughts turn to our usual August destination - The Isle of Wight. There is so much going on around this beautiful Island it would be hard to fit it all in, so I thought I would just focus on the bits I know best - West Wight. Getting the ferry across from Lymington to Yarmouth, you feel like you are really heading away on holiday and arriving in the picturesque seaside town just confirms this. The sun always seems to shine in Honor Beach world!

As sun and summer seems to be at the forefront of my mind these days, the time may be coming for Honor Beach to have a launch party to help bring on the silly season. As I am based in London and currently only dreaming of sunshine, the plan is to conjure up a holiday feel. To me this means Brazilian music, mojito's, dancing and lots of laughing. And so it begins..

As I sit here at my desk waiting for some final pictures to come in, I am taking a moment to reflect on the time it has taken to get to this point at Honor Beach. It really started when trying to find a beach bag large enough to fit all my towels and the paraphernalia that comes with having two small kids and going to the seaside. There were some lovely, pretty ones around, just not particularly big!
